Sheryl Crow in "Tomorrow never dies" music video
|
|
Sheryl Crow' international breakthrough came in
1994
with the grammy award winning song "All I wanna do". The album
"Tuesday Night Music Club" which included that song was a best
seller. Other hit singles from this album include "Run, Baby, Run"
and "No One Said It Would Be Easy". In 1996 the follow up album
"Sheryl Crow" continued the success story of Sheryl Crow featuring
"If It Makes You Happy", "Every Day Is A Winding Road" and
"Hard To Make A Stand". The singles from the second album didn't
sell as good as "All I wanna do" but they established Sheryl Crow on
the international music market. In 1997 she performded the title track to the
007 movie "Tomorrow Never Dies". The track was composed by
herself together with Mitchell Froom what is special for a 007 title track in
which is usually composed by the soundtrack composer (in this case David
Arnold), sometimes in cooperation with the track performer - sometimes not.
Crow's third album "The Globe Sessions" (1998) brought her
back on the air waves with the songs "My Favorite Mistake" and
"Anything But Down". In 1999 Sheryl Crow covered Guns N' Roses
"Sweet Child O'Mine" for the film success "Big Daddy
". Recently, in 2000, she once again won a Grammy for that song. |
