As the German DVD site www.areadvd.de reported TWINE ("Die Welt ist nicht genug") and "Dr. No" ("James Bond jagt Dr. No") will be released on DVD in Germany on 23 June 2000. Both DVDs will be special editions containing a huge amount of bonus material. The discs contain German, English and Spanish language. The features of the TWINE Disc seems to be (nearly) the same as on the US and UK release.

With this release the long period of waiting for the back catalogue release of the 007 films on DVD in Germany has an end, Dr. No beeing the first back catalogue title. This release marks the beginning of the release of the other 007 DVDs in Germany over this and next year. What is really great is that like in the US the German Bond fans can enjoy special editions DVDs while many other DVD releases in Germany are still only lite versions in contrast to their US releases.
